Garden Update

Seedlings are coming up in the garden!
Check out:
1.  Canes are sprouting in the raspberry beds!
2.  The 2nd grade bed is sprouting!
3.  Our one strawberry has little strawberries!
4.  5th grade beds are sprouting!
5.  1st grade seeds are sprouting!
6.  4th grade has planted and we will check on their seeds today.
7.  Morning glories have been transferred outside and are growing.
8.  The milkweed that we planted in the old sign garden is blooming.  Milkweed is the preferred food of Monarch butterflies.  We got the seeds from the state of Illinois in the fall.  The monarch population has been drastically reduced and there is a movement nationwide to plant butterfly and caterpillar plants.
9.  In 5M's 2nd bed (5M is right next to the circles) you will see chamomile (delicate, ferny plant, chives (smells like onions,) lamb's ear (so soft) that I brought from home.  They are establishing themselves beautifully in our garden.  Feel free to touch and smell.
